Pregnancy Information

This page contains information on how to self-refer to the Local Maternity and Neonatal Services if you believe you are pregnant.

Our local service has a webpage where you can refer yourself. You will then be contacted to arrange your first booking appointment when you are around 8-12 weeks pregnant, or as soon as possible if you believe that your pregnancy is further along.

Please click on the button below to be directed to the Maternity Matters Dorset website page where you can self-refer:

There is no need for you to see your GP unless you have exisiting health problems or you are worried about yours, or your baby's health.

If you do have existing health problems then it is a good idea to speak to your GP so that they can review any medication you are taking and see if you need any additional care.
